"THE WORLD'S FIRST AND ONLY WATER RESISTANT WOODEN WATCH
The first watch we created is called “Oceania.” For this watch, we wanted to pay homage to the cultures that created modern action sports today, the Pacific Islands. But rather than focus our attention to just the islands of Hawaii, we wanted to share the various imagery of all three bodies of the islands, Polynesia, Melanesia and Micronesia. Around the bezel of the watch, we designed faint tattoo imagery warriors have which includes the islands of Palau, Samoa, Tonga, and Fiji. Within the face of the watch, we designed tonal imagery of Latte Stones from Guam as well as the weave tattoo that bonds (unites) everything together.
We decided to use the beautiful exotic woods from Hawaii for Oceania. The first two colors we are introducing are made from Koa Wood and Milo Wood which were harvested from fallen trees. Both woods were only allowed to be used by the Hawaiian Ali’i (monarchy), High Chiefs, and warriors. Koa Wood served as a great importance to the islands when King Kamehameha the Great conquered Maui, Oahu, Molokai, Kauai, and Lanai ending all wars and unifying Hawaii as one kingdom. Both woods are extremely dense and durable which is why they were strong enough for weapons and war canoes, hence tough enough for our watches.
So with the materials used, we managed to create the world’s first and only 10 ATM water-resistant wooden watch capable of withstanding 100 meters in depth. We had the whole “what ifs” in mind when creating this watch. What if I fell into water? what if I leave it on washing dishes? We made it 10 ATM for the accidents that happen giving our customers the peace of mind that the watch and movement will still be functional to accidental “what ifs.”
The watch comes complete with an original casing design, sapphire crystal window, stainless steel inner case back, stainless steel inner housing, wooden case back, custom luminous hands, and Swiss Ronda 5030.D chronograph movement. MSRP $595.00
